Policy Kitchen Community guidelines

The policy innovation platform Policy Kitchen is public and enables a broad range of thinkers to collaboratively solve pressing policy challenges.

These Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a user of Policy Kitchen. For everyone’s sake, we are committed to enforcing these guidelines, as well as our Data Policy.

Keep it legal.

Users of Policy Kitchen are not above the law, so don't post anything that violates the laws of your country, region, county or town/city. Don't threaten, harass, impersonate or hurt others, and don't invade other people's privacy. We’ll delete posts defaming others, plotting illegal activities, or posting other people’s private information, and ban the respective user.

Be respectful.

Policy Kitchen is proud of hosting a global community that embraces different cultures, political opinions, faiths, attitudes and points of view. Disagreement is no excuse for poor manners. It is up to each of us to be polite and to treat one another with respect.

Keep it relevant.

This is a policy innovation platform, not a place to gain customers, page views or dates. Keep the discussion centered. Off-topic discussions will be removed.

Be constructive.

… especially with your criticism. Foster healthy conversation and debate without ever attacking people personally. Always question yourself: Would I say the same in the offline world?

Keep it clean.

Strong language has no place here. We will not allow you to use profanities and creative alternatives either.

Be fruitful, but don’t multiply.

Don’t create multiple accounts to violate these guidelines, game the system, or harass and deceive other users. Be your awesome self - nothing more nothing less.

Lead by example.

Make the community a richer place by sharing your experience and insight. Contact us to report problems,  content or members.

Thank you for considering these rules, which are, themselves, carefully considered. We believe in the power of collective intelligence. It is up to each of us to create and participate in fruitful discussions that give birth to brilliant ideas on pressing foreign policy problems.
