In 2045, Climate change might result in more empathy towards displaced people

In 2045, Climate change might result in more empathy towards displaced people. A changing climate affects us all one way or the other, will we experience more empathy towards climate refugees because we have been affected ourselves or all know someone who is affected? Development in Japan after the 2011 earthquake and nuclear accident: more empathy towards homeless and displaced people because any which person knew someone who had been affected, it was not a thing far away but right there, at the doorstep.

Flip side of the coin: less empathy because resource scarcity is increasing for us as well and people develop an "America first" attitude.
