How can I send a private message to other Policy Kitchen users?
In order to send a private message to one or multiple Policy Kitchen user(s), click on the mail icon in the menu bar.
Your personal inbox will appear, where you have an overview of all your private messages. If you want to write a new message, click on the bottom “New message” in the top right corner.
Select the member(s) you want to write a message. You can add multiple members by separating them with a comma.
How can I send a private message to members of a challenge/group?
Click on “Participants” in the red menu bar of the challenge. Please note: in the groups, this menu option is called “Members” (however, the process of sending a message as explain below will stay the same).
In the participants (members) section, you can search for the person you are looking for and click on “Private message” to contact them directly.
The box “Member(s)” will be filled automatically with the selected person. Again, you can add additional members by searching them manually. Do not forget to separate each recipient with a comma.
How can I send a message to a group of people?
To add multiple recipients for a message, you need to separate each person with a comma.
How can I mention another user in a comment?
While adding a comment on an idea or topic, type “@” + the name of the person you want to mention. A drop down-menu will appear. Select the person you were looking for.
If you have clicked on the person you want to mention, their name will appear in the comment box with a grey background. After you clicked on “Comment”, they will receive a notification that you’ve mentioned them in your comment.
How can I leave a public message at someone's profile?
Search for the person’s profile by clicking on the “Search” symbol in the menu bar.
A search box will appear. Enter the name of the person you are looking for and click on the respective user account.
On the profile page of the user, you can write a message in the person’s public stream. You can change the visibility settings to either “Public” (visible to all visitors of the website) or “Community” (visible only to members who are logged in). Click on “Post” to add your comment to the stream.
