In 2045, basic and higher education are equally accessible throughout the planet, thanks to a globally recognised digital education platform providing online courses.

In 2020, realizing that access to education was still a luxury in certain regions and social contexts, global heads of State and governments, as well as business leaders and private foundations (e.g. Roger Federer Foundation) created a Global Fund for Education financing an online education platform which is freely accessible worldwide. This platform offers education formats, which are based on global standards developed by the UNESCO and recognised by all its Member States. An additional Convention was signed by its Member States in this regard. The Global Fund for Education finances the basic infrastructure for these online courses (electricity, internet access, etc.) and provides financial support for content input by top universities and affiliated professors.
In 2045, geographic and economic constraint, two of the main challenges of inequal access to education have therefore been tackled. Basic and higher education are equally accessible throughout the planet, thanks to this globally recognised digital education platform providing online courses.
These online courses also give more flexibility to parents regarding working hours and are sensitive to the challenge of gender inequality in education.
Finally, the platform is open source in order to enable developers worldwide to constantly improve it.
