Women are doing most of the unpaid (reproductive) work in the world. At the same time they are facing discrimination and left alone in questions with reconciling family and career.

Inequality in economics is the result of cultural narratives and contexts, which are based on the idea that women are responsible for home and children. Women are paid less than men - even if they work the same time and are equally qualified. Also, they do most of the unpaid reproductive work. The equal division of home and care work is still not common in most countries.

One possible political measure, currently discussed in various countries is obliged parental leave for both parents - in order to enable women to reconcile work and family and to enhance equality between both partners.
